Drawn to Write This on Colin’s Birthday

There are certain dates that quietly stop you in your tracks, and today is one of them.Today would have been Colin Fry’s birthday, and somehow it feels impossible not to sit for a moment and reflect on the journey, the memories, and the extraordinary path this work has taken me on.

People often see the public side of mediumship — the theatre demonstrations, the television work, the audiences, the travel — but behind all of that are the moments that truly shape you. The conversations after the shows. The miles travelled together. The laughter backstage. The long days and late nights. The responsibility of standing in front of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people, carrying messages that mattered deeply to someone in that audience.

I was incredibly fortunate to share part of that journey with Colin.

Long before television cameras and packed theatres became familiar parts of my life, Colin was somebody who genuinely believed in me and encouraged me to step further into my own potential. That belief stays with you. In this work, where doubt can creep in and where the responsibility can feel immense, having somebody of Colin’s stature quietly say, “You can do this,” means more than words can explain.

Together we travelled extensively, worked theatres across the UK and abroad, appeared on television, and shared experiences that could never truly be put into words. We worked with audiences from all walks of life, in different countries, different venues, and different energies, yet one thing always remained the same — people simply wanting hope, healing, comfort, and connection.

Over the years, I have been privileged to work internationally, demonstrate mediumship in theatres, churches, centres and events around the world, and appear alongside some of the most recognised names in spiritual work. Television opened doors to audiences I never imagined reaching, but what has always mattered most to me is the authenticity of the work itself. Real connection. Real evidence. Real emotion.

That was something Colin understood deeply.

Behind the public figure people saw on stage and television was somebody who respected the work immensely. He understood the importance of compassion, presentation, integrity, and dedication. He also understood the pressure that comes with working publicly in this field. There are moments in mediumship that stay with you forever — moments where families find peace, where grief softens, where somebody leaves a theatre feeling lighter than when they walked in. Colin never lost sight of how important those moments were.

When I look back now, I don’t only remember the theatres or the television studios. I remember the humanity of it all. The friendships. The shared experiences. The support. The humour. The feeling of being part of something much bigger than yourself.

This path has taken me all over the world and introduced me to extraordinary people and experiences I could never have imagined when I first began. From television productions to intimate demonstrations, from spiritual churches to packed theatres, every experience has shaped who I am today — not just as a medium, but as a person.

And on days like today, I feel grateful.

Grateful for the journey.Grateful for the lessons.Grateful for the people who walked part of the path beside me.

Some souls leave a lasting imprint on your life, and Colin was certainly one of those souls for me.

So today, on his birthday, this felt important to write.

Not simply as remembrance, but as gratitude.

Happy Birthday in Heaven, Colin.

Thank you for believing in me.

Thank you for the memories.

And thank you for being part of a journey that continues still.
