Who we are

This website, tjhiggs.com, is operated by SPIRITUAL LIFESTYLE LTD. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this site.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at tracy@tjhiggs.com.

What we collect, and why

When you book a reading, course, event or retreat: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your booking — so we can deliver the session or event you've booked, send confirmations and reminders, and contact you if anything changes.

When you buy from the shop: your name, email, delivery address and order details — so we can fulfil and deliver your order.

When you pay: payments are processed securely by Stripe / PayPal . We never see or store your full card details.

When you join the newsletter: your name and email address — so we can send you news, event dates and updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

When you contact us: whatever you include in your message, so we can reply.

When you browse the site: like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools to understand how the site is used and to make it work properly. See "Cookies" below.

We only collect what we need, and we never sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use trusted companies to help run the business. They only receive what they need to do their job:

  • Squarespace — hosts this website and processes shop orders

  • Acuity Scheduling — handles appointment bookings

  • Eventbrite — handles ticketing for some live events; when you buy a ticket through Eventbrite, their own privacy policy also applies to the details you give them

  • JotForm — powers some of our forms [confirm which: enquiries / course applications / intake — and whether these carry over to the new site]

  • Stripe / PayPal — processes payments

  • NEWSLETTER PROVIDER — — sends the newsletter

  • Buzzsprout / Captivate — hosts the podcast

  • Hotels and venues — if you book a residential retreat, we share your name with the venue so they can look after you

Some of these companies are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law are in place.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes [typically 6 years — solicitor to confirm]. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to object to us using it. You can also withdraw consent at any time (for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter).

To exercise any of these rights, email tracy@tjhiggs.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

To add Squarespace's built-in cookie banner. If Google Analytics or Meta Pixel are added later, they must be listed here.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know.
