Retreat & Residential Event Booking Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
Your booking
When you book a residential retreat or weekend, your contract is with SPIRITUAL LIFESTYLE LTD. These conditions, together with your booking confirmation, set out what we each agree to.
Residential events are for adults aged 18 and over.
Price and payment
The price is confirmed at the time of booking and guaranteed once your booking is confirmed. A non-refundable deposit o secures your place, with the balance due by the date shown on your confirmation. Bookings made within one month of the event must be paid in full.
Some live events are ticketed through Eventbrite. For those, Eventbrite's purchase process and booking fees apply alongside these conditions, and refunds for cancelled events are issued back through Eventbrite.
If the balance isn't received by the due date, we may release your place after getting in touch.
Accommodation
All rooms are subject to availability. A single-person supplement applies to sole occupancy of double or twin rooms, as specified at booking. We'll do everything we can to accommodate special requests (room location, accessibility, dietary needs) — please tell us when booking. Requests that don't carry a charge can't be guaranteed.
Dietary and access needs
Please tell us about dietary requirements and access needs by the time of final payment so we can brief the venue properly.
If you cancel
The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. For the balance:
Cancellation more than [X weeks] before the event: [balance refunded / refunded minus deposit — confirm current tiers]
Cancellation within [X weeks]: [XX%] refund
Cancellation within [X days] or non-attendance: no refund
We'd always recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
If we cancel
Very occasionally an event has to be cancelled. If that happens you'll receive a full refund of everything paid to us, and we'll give you as much notice as possible. We can't cover costs booked separately (such as travel), which is another reason we recommend insurance.
Health and wellbeing
Please tell us at booking (or as soon as you know) about any health conditions, mobility needs or anything else that would help us and the venue look after you properly. Spiritual development work is emotional by its nature and can occasionally bring up strong feelings — by booking, you confirm you understand this and feel ready to take part. TJ and her team create a genuinely supportive environment, but retreats are not a substitute for medical or mental-health care, and nothing experienced during spiritual or healing work should ever replace treatment or medication — please always consult your GP or care provider about your health. If you're currently receiving treatment or support, you're very welcome to attend; we simply ask that you make sure attending is right for you, in consultation with your care provider if appropriate.
Your belongings and travel
Your personal belongings remain your responsibility throughout the event, and we can't accept liability for loss or damage to them (the venue's own policies also apply). Travel to and from the event is arranged by you and at your own cost — if an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we can't reimburse separately booked travel or accommodation, which is one of the reasons we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment and personal belongings for all residential events.
Our responsibility
We take good care in organising every event and choosing venues. Nothing in these conditions limits or excludes our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the event, and we are not responsible for matters outside our reasonable control (such as venue closures, extreme weather or transport failures), though we will always do our best to find a fair solution.
Behaviour
Retreats are gentle, supportive spaces. In the very rare event of abusive or disruptive behaviour, we reserve the right — after fair warning — to ask a guest to leave, without refund.
Problems and complaints
If anything isn't right, please tell us straight away — most things can be fixed on the spot. We can only deal fairly with complaints raised with us at the time.
