Terms — Readings, Courses & Shop

The basics

These terms cover private readings, courses, workshops, circles and purchases from the online shop. They exist so everything is clear for both of us — please have a quick read before booking or buying.

Services are provided by SPIRITUAL LIFESTYLE LTD .

You must be 18 or over to book a reading, course, circle or workshop. For live demonstrations/theatre events: 18+, or 16–17 accompanied by an adult; venues may also set their own.

About readings

TJ approaches every reading with honesty, care and over 25 years of professional experience. That said, it's important to be clear about what a reading is and isn't:

• No genuine medium can guarantee that a specific person in spirit will communicate, or promise particular results. What TJ promises is her full, honest commitment to the sitting.

• Readings, demonstrations and spiritual work are emotional by their nature — that's often exactly why they help. Messages can touch on loss, love and life's harder moments, and neither TJ nor anyone else can control what comes through. By booking, you confirm you understand the nature of this work and feel ready for it. TJ will always deliver whatever comes with compassion and care, and if you're very recently bereaved, she'd gently encourage you to trust your own sense of timing about when a sitting is right for you.

• Readings are not a substitute for professional advice. TJ cannot answer questions about medical, legal or financial matters — for those, please always consult a qualified professional.

• The same applies to all healing, meditation and spiritual development work, whether in a session, a course, a retreat or a downloadable product: it can sit alongside medical care beautifully, but it is complementary, never a replacement. Please never stop, delay or change any medical treatment or medication because of anything experienced in spiritual work — always speak to your GP or care provider.

• In line with UK consumer regulations, readings are offered for personal insight and are legally classed as being for entertainment purposes.

Booking and payment

Readings and courses are booked through this website and paid for at the time of booking. Appointment times automatically adjust to your local time zone — please double-check yours when booking from outside the UK.

Online and in-person sessions

Online readings take place over Zoom . You'll need a quiet space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection — the link arrives with your confirmation. If technology lets us down mid-session (it occasionally does!), TJ will reconnect where possible or arrange a time to complete the remainder of your session at no extra cost. If the connection problem is at your end and we can't reconnect, the session time may still count, though TJ will always be as fair as possible.

In-person readings take place at [the TJ Higgs Spiritual Studio — confirm how venue/address is communicated]. Please arrive a few minutes early. If you're running late, your session will still end at the scheduled time so the next person isn't kept waiting.

For both, your session begins at the booked time — please double-check time zones when booking online from outside the UK.

Cancellations and rescheduling — readings

Life happens. If you need to move your appointment:

• Rescheduling or cancelling with more than 48 HOURS — TJ to confirm] notice: no charge; cancellations are refunded in full.

• Less than 48 hours notice, or missed appointments: the fee is non-refundable, though TJ will always try to be understanding in genuine emergencies.

• If TJ has to cancel (illness, emergencies), you'll be offered a new time or a full refund — your choice.

Courses, workshops and circles

• Places are confirmed on payment.

• Cancelling more than 14 DAYS — TJ to confirm before the start date: full refund.

• After that, fees are non-refundable, but may be transferable to a future course .

  Courses are recorded by us. Personal recording during courses is not permitted.

Shop — physical products

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for physical goods within 14 days of receiving them, for any reason. Items should be returned unused and in their original condition; return postage is the buyer's responsibility unless the item is faulty. Refunds are made within 14 days of the item arriving back.

Faulty or damaged items will always be replaced or refunded — just get in touch.

Signed books are signed to stock, not personalised, unless stated .

Shop — digital products

Digital products (downloadable meditations, workshops, ebooks and similar) are delivered immediately. By purchasing, you agree to instant delivery and acknowledge that the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply once the download has begun — this is the standard legal position for digital content.

Digital products are for your personal use and may not be shared, resold or redistributed. Guided meditations are designed for deep relaxation — please only listen somewhere safe and comfortable, and never while driving or operating machinery.

Gift vouchers

Vouchers are valid for 12 MONTHS from the date of purchase and can be used against readings, shop, events . They cannot be exchanged for cash.

A note on kindness

TJ and her team will always treat you with warmth and respect, and ask the same in return. We reserve the right to decline or end a booking in the rare event of abusive behaviour.
